Our hotel, the Mercure Ronceray Opera, is at 10 Boulevard Montmartre, one of the "Grands Boulevards" laid out by Haussman in the 19th century, and for many years the most fashionable promenade of Paris society. Nowadays it's home to the Hard Rock Cafe, pizza parlors, and McDonalds, although vestiges of the Belle Epoque days still remain.
