What we thought:
This was one of those books that garnered unanimous acclaim. The
only criticisms were minor ones -- that perhaps some of the plot
elements were a bit contrived, or that a few parts were too gruesomely
violent for some tastes.

this compelling story of family and friendship taught us so
much about Afghani culture. The lowest rating anyone gave it was
4 stars, and most of us thought it deserved the highest possible
