| Wed 10 Nov 2004: To Naples.* We awoke in Sorrento to torrential rain, so opted to take the train to Naples, rather than Plan A, the drive down the Amalfi Coast. We'd only been on the train about 20 minutes, when the sun came out and stayed with us for the rest of the day. So we had a chance to explore a bit of Naples without getting wet. This picture doesn't really communicate the medieval feeling of Naples' streets. Roz found it fascinating; Mike was put off by the dirt and chaos. | ||
