Pompeii. A plaster cast of a Pompeiian trapped by the volcano. One thing we learned in Italy is that the science of weather forecasting hasn't improved much since the days when no one realized what Vesuvius was up to. Every day all the weather forecasts we checked online or on TV had different predictions, and usually none of them were right. Rain was supposed to be falling on the day we went to Pompeii, but as you can see, we (luckily) got sunshine instead. |
